The Finance Subcommittee provides input and guidance on efforts to obtain resources for both facilities and programs. The subcommittee assists with the development of a financial plan that will be needed to accomplish the facilities master plan and the program enhancement opportunities identified by the programs subcommittee. The Finance Subcommittee is chaired by John Gooding.

In January 2003, the EYSAC Finance Subcommittee recommended a parcel tax measure for the Emery Unified School District to be brought before the Emeryville voters at a special election on June 3, 2003. This recommendation was supported by the full EYSAC, the City-School Committee, the City Council and the Emery Unified School District Board. In June 2003, the Emeryville voters overwhelmingly approved this measure, providing significant resources for the educational programs at EUSD.

The Finance Subcommittee is currently working on the financial plan for the Emeryville Center of Community Life.
